Roddy has a background in newspaper advertising. Having achieved an award for innovation, he pursued his career in sales roles with radio stations and advertising agencies. Most notably his achievements with EMAP (Effective Media Management) and the International Advertising Association, involved coordinating a number of high level pan-European advertising events including the launch of the International Media Management training course, an agency launch, a radio station launch, FIFA World Cup sponsorship and creation of sales channels for UK companies across America.
With three decades of business development under his belt, Roddy is adept with managing and developing relationships with a range of transatlantic B2B markets and supports the NYLON team with effective and practical implementation of new business relationships and meaningful sector insights.
When not working, Roddy spends time travelling the back roads of America, authoring a travel book, searching for one-of-a-kind Americana at every turn.
