We went, we saw, we conquered...the shops!
The NYLON team made a day’s dash to the French capital for a “training day” on 19th May 2016 to capture the “je ne sais quois” of Parisians.
As an international business, NYLON recognises the importance of international cross-fertilisation in marketing and public relations. The day started with petit dejeuner at Parisian tea room, Ladurée, on the famous rue Royale. Understanding the female soul is central to French marketing. With that in mind, we took our mission for “research marketing” to the Christian Louboutin store, Rue du Faubourg, to test out the theory!
The brand has successfully encompassed the French focus on understanding their consumer needs, in order to make inspired leaps. Christian Louboutin’s understanding of women, and developing insights into female behaviour, has helped strengthen the brand globally .Home to more recognisable monuments than any other city in the world, the NYLON team took in the iconic sights of the Notre Dame, The Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the Palais de Chaillot and the Palais Bourbon. Ending in the bohemian Latin Quarter by the Seine.
Settling in a humble bistro, the concluding dinner kept the Parisian finesse amidst an enclave of culture.
“People like to know things are authentic. They like them to have a history and an origin. Paris’ tree-lined boulevards, romantic bridges, wicker chair-lined café terraces and sans-serif avant-garde fonts and exterior façades created a city landscape with a timeless chic,” said NYLON’s Head of PR, Anju Sarpal.
Despite city riots and train delays, the French Eurostar staff made sure there was enough wine and cheese on-board for the revellers return journey. Despite delays, they still strove to put their customers' comfort first. Ironically as soon as we had passed the border back to dear old Blighty, our wi-fi was cut and there was suddenly no buffet service. Heading wearily towards customs, we clutched our complementary bottles of Arc de Rhone and Evian.
Vive la France!!
